My name is "Lisa B" as the Waltz family called me for many years. Grandma Waltz was at everything... every basketball and soccer game, at our high school graduation, and across the table for sushi. She wished me a happy birthday on facebook every year and would tell me she missed me. She was so small and so kind. You always knew that all 8 Waltz children loved her dearly.

I think my favorite memories of Grandma are of her at our sporting events. As long as I can remember, Grandma has been coming to my soccer games, ping pong tournaments, lacrosse games and everything in between. When I was out of college and playing in men soccer leagues I thought it was a little weird that my Grandma was coming to watch my soccer games. The guys on my teams made me realize that I was lucky to have her at my games. They would ask me, “Is grandma coming this week.” Or when we would warm up for the game, everyone who ran by her would say, “hi Grandma.” They told me how cool it was that my grandma was coming to watch me play. I have played in countless sporting events and Grandma came to the majority of them. Unlike my mom, my grandma actually paid attention to the action on the field. Grandma is gone now but I know she will never miss a game.

I love you grandma. Every time we play a game we will be thinking of you.

My Grandma was the best! Up until her last month when she got sick she still had all the energy you could ask an 84 year old to have. She was still going to every sporting event, every birthday party, and never missed an opportunity to be with family. I'm blessed to have countless memories with her and I'm going to miss her laugh and our banter. She was my favorite person to joke around with. I'm heartbroken she won't be there to see me walk down the aisle in July but I know she will always be with me in spirit and in my heart. Love you Gram, Rest in Peace.

Grandma Ella Mae was a hoot to be around. I remember my first pageant that Mat came too and Grandma wanted to come as well. She came every year after that. She was a fabulous fan and the first year even got to bond with my Grandma. I enjoyed her wit and stories of her past. Even in her last few days, she still had sass and truly had a great sense of humor. I feel lucky to have gotten to know the grandma all the kids loved. May she Rest In Peace and enjoy heaven with Richard.
