Obituary for EllaMae E. Olson
EllaMae Olson, age 84, of Buffalo Grove passed away surrounded by loved ones on Friday, May 8th, 2020. EllaMae was born on Feb. 13th, 1936 in Chicago, IL. The daughter of the late Herman and Ella Lang.
After being a devoted nanny for many years, EllaMae retired to spend more time with her family. She was a loving, caring and proud mother to 5 children, grandmother to 13 children and great grandmother to 7 children.
She looked forward to her weekly bible studies, where she developed many close friendships. She also enjoyed family vacations, attending her grandkids athletic events, and the occasional fruity cocktail.
She was a light in the lives of many and will forever be remembered as a loving mother to Ellen (Larry) Waltz, Karl (Laura) Olson, Mike and John Olson and her late son Richard (Pam) Olson. A Dear Grandmother to Larry (Julie), Daniel (Ashley), James (Ashley), Mathew, Lisa, Jenna, Adam, and Jessica Waltz, Desiree, Eric, Richard, Emily, and Alex Olson. The greatest great Grandmother to Aria Bowlew, and Autumn, Parker, Leilah, Logan, Derek, and Hadley Waltz. Proceeded in death by her husband Karl Olson Sr. and son Richard Jay Olson.
