Thomas J. Wolos age 71 US Army Viet Nam Veteran. Beloved son of the late Walter Wolos and the late Jeanette, nee Stupek; loving brother of Susan (Bill) Farneth and Mary Wolos ; dearest uncle of William Farneth, Jennifer (Christopher Szoch) and Cesca Wolos-Fonteno; great-uncle of many nieces and nephews. Tom was a member and active as a voulenteer at the Irish American Heritage Center as well as many other organizations and clubs including the Chicago Friars Ski and Bike club, Underwater Archaeological Society of Chicago, Nordic fox, Northwest Nordic ski club, Chicago mountaineering club, National Speleological Society, Forest trail hiking club and IBEW - Local 9. Among his accomplishments he hiked the Appalachian Trail, hiked the John Muir trail, hiked the north rim of the Grand Canyon, rode his bicycle from the Atlantic to the Pacific across country. Tom also had many diverse interests including skiing, hiking, scuba diving, scuba rescue and cave diving. Tom was an All-around great guy and will be missed by many loving friends.
