Obituary for Mildred J. "Mickie" Chilla
Mildred "Mickie" J. Chilla (nee Ciran) Aug 8, 1932 - Apr 16, 2021
Preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Chilla and her parents Samuel and Anna Ciran and her brother Samuel Ciran. Survived by her three daughters: Pamela Deahl (Tim), Judith Goodpasture (Stuart) and Gail Wallach. Also survived by her brother John Ciran (Erika), seven grandsons, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mickie received a degree in Physical Education from Northeastern Illinois University. She taught in the Chicago Public School System and enjoyed a second career at V. Mueller/Baxter International.
Mickie was a competitive gymnast and judge as well as an active member and officer of Sokol USA.
We all enjoyed the laughter and fun when gathered as a family and she will be greatly missed.
A private entombment will be held in the Masaryk Mausoleum at Bohemian National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Sokol USA Lodge 306 at 4855 N. Elston Ave. Chicago, IL 60630 appreciated. For more information phone 773-685-4400.
