Kim was born December 29, 1953 in Chicago to the late Mark and Lois Alby. Loving wife to Ross Nielsen for 37 wonderful years. Together they moved from Chicago, Illinois in August 2014 to San Jacinto, California. Kim was a devoted and loving mother to both Mandy Nielsen and Jaime Nielsen. Kim always had so much involvement in their day to day lives. She attended school at St. Louise de Marrillac class of 1972 and graduated College at NIU with a bachelor’s degree in 1976. Kim graduated from the Lay Minister Program at Mundelein Seminary in 1997. Kim had a strong passion for living life to the fullest and was a fighter until the very end. Please join us on Saturday May 18th, 2019 at 10:00 AM for a funeral mass at St. Edward Church 4350 W. Sunnyside Chicago, IL 60630. Inurnment following mass at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois.
