Obituary for Angela Kull

Our dear Mom and Grandma, Angela (Tuccori) Kull passed away peacefully at home on December 21st. She lived a nice long life – 96 years.

Angela was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Kull Sr., parents Giulio and Rosa Tuccori, and brother Evo Paul Tuccori. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Ray Jr. and Gretchen Kull, Lynette and Larry Czarkowski, and Laura and Brian Quigley, six grandchildren, Gina and Amy Czarkowski, Katie and Adam Kull, and Hugh and Ray Quigley, her sister-in-law Anita Kull, and 7 nieces and nephews.

Angela was a first generation Italian American and a lifetime Chicagoan. She grew up in Old Town with a large circle of family and friends. As a young woman, Angela worked as an operator for Illinois Bell Telephone Company, where she met her husband Ray. They enjoyed 39 years of marriage before Ray’s death in 1995, going for long rides, playing cards, vacationing and fishing in Spooner WI, playing bingo, and wintering in Bonita Springs FL.

Angela was a loving and generous Mom who always put her family first. She was well known at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish while her children were in school there, volunteering for field trips, Mother’s Club, and in the library. She was an energetic and cherished Grandma who thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren. In the tradition of her Father who was a tailor, Angela enjoyed sewing clothing, crafts, and costumes. The Halloween pumpkin costume she made for Gina was worn by all of the grandkids, down to Ray. Angela was a devoted friend to many, including some she knew since a young girl. She will be greatly missed and has left us with so many happy memories.
